 04.06.2009 - AFD has been mandating consultants Burgéap and Mavi to undertake a market study to assess the potential in Turkey for projects that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This study details the investment potential for renewable energy, energy efficiency, methane recovery and carbon sequestration through aforestation/reforestation.  “AFD intends to implement a credit line program to engage Turkish banks in scalling-up investment on climate change, that’s what this study is all about” said Laurent Klein, AFD Deputy head of Representative Office for Turkey.
